Welcome to Tropisanté
A health blog for the French, English, Spanish and Creole-speaking Caribbean
I am Joe Sainte-Rose, a pharmacist graduated from the Faculty of Paris in 1970, with over 50 years of experience in Martinique. I created this blog to inform, educate and support the Caribbean population regarding the main health issues that affect them, taking into account cultural, social and geographical realities.
Tropisanté is a space for reliable and accessible health information, to better understand major chronic, infectious or emerging diseases in the region: hypertension, diabetes, dengue, chikungunya, cholera, lupus, etc.
Why this blog?
Because public health in the Caribbean requires special attention. Some diseases are more frequent or more severe here. Knowing them better means preventing them better.
How often are articles published?
👉 Three times a week: one article in French, one in English, one in Spanish.
Each article is adapted to the language and cultural context.
Who is this for?
This blog is for the entire Caribbean population:
-
French speakers (Martinique, Guadeloupe, Haiti, French Guiana...)
-
English speakers (Trinidad, Jamaica, Barbados, Bahamas...)
-
Spanish speakers (Dominican Republic, Cuba, Puerto Rico...)
-
And also Creole speakers, who will find themselves reflected here.
Tropisanté is your regular source for reliable, local, educational and committed health information.
