EXFOLIATION
Exfoliation: brighten, smooth, refine
A small weekly step for a big glow.
Exfoliation removes dead cells at the surface. You get brighter tone, finer texture, and better absorption of creams. Keep it gentle and consistent.
Two approaches
1) Physical scrubs
Micro-beads or plant powders. Instant effect, but can irritate if overused.
2) Chemical exfoliants (AHA, BHA, PHA)
Glycolic, lactic, salicylic acids lift dead cells without rubbing. Modern and gentler.
Suggested frequency
- Oily/combination: 2× weekly
- Normal: 1–2× weekly
- Dry/sensitive: once weekly max
Common mistakes
- Scrubbing too hard
- Combining exfoliation + retinol the same night
- Skipping SPF 50 afterwards
Golden rule: gentle + steady beats aggressive.
